Mark Radcliffe

What Remains Of The Day

On sabbatical from The Family Mahone, broadcaster and author Mark Radcliffe has taken the opportunity to record his first solo album. At the age of 52.

A long way from the rumbustious drinking songs of the Mahones, ‘What Remains Of The Day’ is a collection of ten reflective songs recorded and embellished by fellow Mahone Chris Lee.

The cover of the record is an impressionistic view of a corner of the city centre of Mark’s beloved Manchester in the deep blue early evening light, and these songs mirror the air of melancholy and yet promise of the night ahead felt at ‘early doors’.

We are very excited to have his first solo album on the 101 label, it's a great listen and should be a must for any discerning music lover.

Mark will be relaunching his radio show with Stuart Maconie on BBC 6 Music in early April, as well as commencing a new weekly Radio 2 programme on Tuesdays at 11p.m.

He continues to work for a lasting peace in the Northwich area.
